Co-Stars announced
Seven players earned their first career NBA All-Star selections on Tuesday as the reserves for the 2002 NBA All-Star Game were announced. Shareef Abdur-Rahim, Jermaine O'Neal, Paul Pierce, Steve Nash, Dirk Nowitzki, Peja Stojakovic and Wally Szczerbiak join starter Steve Francis as newcomers.
NBA Agrees to New TV Deal
The NBA, ESPN, ABC and AOL Time Warner have agreed to a new six-year TV contract. The deal also includes the creation of a AOL Time Warner/NBA network.
The Counter Man
Arrive Magazine, Amtrak's on-board magazine for the Northeast, profiles NBA commissioner David Stern, who says that his early days working the counter at his father's deli taught him the work ethic and customer service he needed to revitalize the league.
